Don’t Trip Over It

Don’t Trip Over It is a print-based project that explores how everyday objects are overcomplicated through design and instruction. Comparing electrical dryer manuals - filled with excessive warnings and detail - to the simplicity of a drying rack, the project highlights this contrast.

A redesigned, exaggerated dryer manual uses humour to expose the overwhelming nature of instructional language, while art-directed imagery of the rack reinforces its simplicity. The project questions why design often over-engineers the everyday instead of embracing clarity and ease.
